"I can't leave a struggling people, but I don't have anything to do with the administration and the political council of the Armenian National Congress (HAK)," former member of the HAK political council, representative of the "Union of Armenian Volunteers" Samvel Harutyunyan in response to the question of whether he was a member of the HAK or not.

Harutyunyan says he is no longer a member of the HAK political council due to the differences between the strategy and tactics of the "Union of Armenian Volunteers" and the HAK in the fight to destroy the regime.

Harutyunyan said he had tried to discuss this with leader of the HAK Levon Ter-Petrosyan. "I had asked Ter-Petrosyan's office director to organize a meeting with him a day before the March 1 rally, but that meeting didn't take place," said Harutyunyan.

Harutyunyan informed that he had told Ter-Petrosyan that it was necessary to relieve the people of this regime, and in response, Ter-Petrosyan had said the refusal of the four parties to be included in the HAK's proportional electoral list was "90 percent" linked to the lack of generation.

Nevertheless, Harutyunyan doesn't rule out joining Ter-Petrosyan in the same movement someday.

"If a miracle happens and we manage to raise a wave that will ensure snap presidential elections, then I think that will happen on May 6," said the former member of the HAK political council.
