A part of Australia underwater
Meteorologists had predicted that it would stop raining in Australia on March 4, but those predictions were wrong. The flood caused by the heavy rainfall is growing day after day.
Whereas only New South Wales was hit a couple of days ago, today the flood will reach Queensland and Victoria.
The dam in the north-western Uoga-Uoga city located 450 km from Sydney, which is built on the Marambidge River, can collapse at any minute because it is flooded.
The local authorities and the army are helping the people evacuate.
"We are trying to take the most necessary items, including technical appliances such as refrigerators and the freezer since we have no insurance for disasters," citizens of Uoga-Uoga told Euronews.
The authorities and rescuers have set up 4 tents for those who have been brought out of the water in New South Wales.
