Businesswoman Silva Hambardzumyan yesterday told presses that former Minister of Nature Protection Vardan Ayvazyan owed him 500,000 dollars and had already paid off 430,000.

According to Hambardzumyan, she purchased an ore from Vardan Ayvazyan, but the ore and its name didn't correspond and the businesswoman returned the mine.

After that, Ayvazyan paid off Hambardzumyan's debt in installments.

The former minister today informed journalists to ask Silva Hambardzumyan for the name of the ore and the date of the sale."

Ayvazyan said he had met  the businesswoman after he became minister and couldn't have sold the ore after he no longer held office.

According to Vardan Ayvazyan, there are no privatized mines in Armenia, but there are "mines handed to concession management". The deputy added that even though Silva Hambardzumyan had spread false information, he wouldn't sue her.
