Opinion: "BHK can enlarge its electorate"
"The Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) is not only becoming an influential, but also an independent force. These are two different notions. I think that people expect more from the party today and if the BHK fails to meet this demand, it will greatly disappoint people, thereby tarnishing its reputation," expert on political and electoral technologies Armen Badalyan said on Monday.
The expert says the reputation of a political party is conditioned by the party's competent job and literate organization of the campaign.
"The public have the impression that the BHK does not hurry to start the campaign. I repeat again that society pins great hopes on the BHK and the party cannot leave its voters disappointed. It can first of all cause serious consequences for the party. With regard to the campaign, I can say that they need to choose a right strategy and tactics," said Mr Badalyan.
"Three forces have remained firm on the political arena before the elections -the BHK, the opposition Armenian National Congress (HAK) and Republican Party of Armenia (HHK. The Country of Law Party (OEK) has already exhausted itself. The parliamentary opposition parties - Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun and Heritage - have considerably weakened due to certain objective and subjective reasons, hence they have less chance to enter parliament," he said adding that the BHK has a greater chance to enlarge its electorate.
