President of Syria Bashar Asad's forces on the evening of 29 February seized Homs, reports Al Arabiya TV.

According to the Arab source, Russian journalists at the scene of the military operations said they were convinced that the regime, which is tired of the conflict, is not joking with the opposition.

Al Arabiya TV reports that the bombing left 104 dead.

After bombing several regions of Homs, Asad's forces started the so-called "cleaning" as they checked almost all buildings and basements and tried to find the opposition's attackers, arms, ammunition and explosive devices, reports Interfax.

According to the BBC, one of the activists, Khadi Abdallah told Al Arabiya that the population of Homs was in fear and that there would be a real massacre in the city, if the international community didn't extend a helping hand soon.

The source reports that the Syrian government's forces have also arrested French servicemen in Homs.

There hasn't been any commentary on that fact in Damascus and Paris.
