Margar Ohanyan’s trial postponed
Liana Grigoryan, who is the lawyer for Stepan Karakhanyan, culprit in the case of former RA Road Patrol Chief Margar Ohanyan, wasn't able to show up to court today.
"A1+"'s journalist reported that Judge of the first instance court of general jurisdiction of the Kentron and Nork Marash districts Mkhitar Papoyan today declared that the lawyer's absence was disrespectful.
Mentioning that lawyer Grigoryan had sent a notice that she was unhealthy, the judge declared that the court hadn't received a corresponding medical document and denied the petition to postpone the trial.
However, culprit Karakhanyan presented another petition to postpone the trial and asked not to hold a trial in his lawyer's absence.
The petition was upheld and the trial was postponed to March 13 at 11:30.
We inform that the trial is in the stage of disputes and prosecutor Harutyun Harutyunyan was supposed to give an accusatory speech today.
