Snowed in
On February 29, an alarm was received that three KamAZ trucks were stuck in snow on the road from Yeghegnadzor to Martuni (at a 14 km distance from Martuni) at the Selim mountain pass.
There has not been any cleaning due to heavy snowfall. Drivers were recommended to leave their cars and move to a safe area with help from rescuers, but the drivers refused and asked for food.
The operative group of the Vayots Dzor regional rescue department left for the scene and had to cut the last 5 km of the road since the road was almost impassable.
The rescuers transferred food and medicine to the drivers and suggested moving them to a safe area, but the drivers refused.

On the same day at 11:47, an alarm was received that a car had been stuck in snow near Rya Taza village on the Aparan-Alagyaz highway.
Firefighters left for the scene and brought out Kh. Khachatryan's VAZ 2106 car out of the snow.
