Israel, Azerbaijan sign 1.6-billion-dollar deal
Israeli Aerospace Industries (IAI) Corporation has signed an agreement with Azerbaijan to supple unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and advanced air defense systems worth $ 1.6 billion, IzRus website reports citing Intelligence Online.
According to the agreement, the IAI will sell to Azerbaijan drones, anti-aircraft and missile defense systems. Besides, Israeli experts will come to Azerbaijan to teach Azerbaijani counterparts to work with new military systems.
Remind that on September 12, 2011, air defense forces of the NKR Defense Army shot down an Azerbaijani unmanned military aircraft flying a reconnaissance mission over the breakaway region. The "Hermes 450" drone was produced in Israel.
