Representatives of the International Red Cross yesterday managed to enter Khoms and bring out 27 people who were in need of immediate medical assistance.

There is still no information on whether there were foreign journalists among the evacuated or not, reports the BBC.

We inform that the "Friends of Syria" international conference drew to an end in Tunisia yesterday. During the conference, participants from 60 countries proposed ways to get Syria out of the current crisis and prevent the ongoing bloodshed in the country.

As a result, the participants of the conference recognized the National Council of Syria as Syria's legitimate government since all Syrian opposition forces unquestionably trust the National Council, reports Agence France-Presse.

The "Friends of Syria" adopted a declaration calling on Bashar Asad's regime to put an end to the conflict in order to provide humanitarian organizations with the opportunity to show support to the peaceful citizens engaged in the war.

If not, the "friends" threaten to apply political and economic sanctions against the regime.

The threats are to prohibit the visits of high-ranking officials of the regime, as well as freeze the officials' bank accounts in Western and U.S. banks.

We remind that Russia and China didn't participate in the "Friends of Syria" conference. The "Friends of Syria" have called on Asad to put an end to the crime against the people and resign immediately.

In her speech, Hillary Clinton said President of Syria Basha-Al Asad and his forces have turned the country into a "humanitarian disaster" with their actions.
