Statement of Taron Margaryan
Yerevan Municipality has posted the statement of Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan regarding the placement of stands at Mashtots Park on its official website.
"As leader of the largest community of the Republic of Armenia, I am clearly aware that development and the solution to any issue of social importance are impossible without effective protection of the right to property.
The important and intricate issues related to property can't be solved by individual citizens on the grounds of subjective notions of justice.
Despite the fact that everything is legitimate and substantiated with documents, I think any important decision, no matter how substantiated it maybe, needs to be more legitimate, and the best way of doing that is to engage the society and provide it with information.
I would also like to inform that the mentioned process will lead to the improvement of the sectors of Abovyan Street where there were structures.
The following will be built in the park:
-renovation and restoration of back walls and stones on the borders,
-restoration and addition of green zone, flower planting,
-restoration of irrigation network,
-restoration of tiles,
-placement of benches and garbage cans,
-assurance of external lighting.
I am certain that any issue related to Yerevan can be solved in a civilized manner, in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and for the benefit of our city."
