Surprises at “Heritage” Congress
The upcoming parliamentary elections will either become another label for the country, or we simply don't have the right to allow the subsequent falsified elections," leader of "Heritage" Party Raffi Hovhannisian told "A1+" today, underlining that the nation has to be united.
"We think we will be leading a struggle on many fronts and one of the fronts is the square," said Raffi Hovhannisian.
"Heritage" will hold its congress on March 2. Raffi Hovhannisian said there would be surprises, but didn't go into detail and only mentioned that the party would set its guidelines.
Touching upon the rumors about the possible alliance between "Heritage" and the "Free Democrats" Party, Hovhannisian informed that the party was still holding talks on that.
Raffi Hovhannisian assures that "Heritage" treats the "Free Democrats" Party's ideology, dedication and different proposals for cooperation very seriously.
"Heritage" sees cooperation with the Armenian National Congress (HAK) as well, but Hovhannisian says the HAK is already an alliance and will go alone in the elections.
Hovhannisian says his party hasn't discussed the proportional list yet.
Even though "Heritage" is against the majoritarian electoral order, the party will nominate candidates through that order.
Raffi Hovhannisian also declared that the "Heritage" faction is getting ready to discuss the issue of making the transition to the 100 percent proportional electoral order, even through a special order.
