The protest action organized by a group of environmentalists at Mashtots Avenue in Yerevan has ended, with activists entrusting the ‘control' of the green space to police officers.

The activists left the site with the determination to gather at the park tomorrow morning to continue the protest. The metal fence separating the activists from the green space was dismantled at the end of the day.

Earlier in the day, police gave the group 20 minutes to clear the site threatening to forcibly remove them from the area otherwise. Fortunately, no incident was recorded in the meantime. None of the policemen present at the park agreed to speak about their future steps in front of a camera.

Heritage Party MP Zaruhi Postanjyan informed A1+ that they are going to file a criminal case with the Administrative Court against the musicality's decision.

The activists have been camped out at Mashtots avenue since February 11, demanding the city authorities to stop the illegal constriction of kiosks in the green area.
