About 1,200,000 subscribers to receive electricity vouchers
Georgian Government will issue and distribute electricity vouchers for over 1,200,000 subscribers of the country, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri announced at the government session on February 20.
Prime Minister said cold winter and hard climate environment brought many problems to Georgian citizens, consumption of electricity increased as well as the expenditures. Considering these factors, the government of Georgia prepared a special program of vouchers.
Distribution of 20 GEL vouchers will begin this week and the Social Service Agency of the Ministry of Health and Social Care will be responsible for the process. 25 million GEL has been allocated from the state budget for this social program, rustavi2.com reported.
