If Azerbaijan attacks Armenia, we shall not sit still
Chairman of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union (YKM) today announced that the YKM has 35 000 members 2041 of whom participated in the 9th congress of the Union.
"YKM cannot be separated from the authorities. The Union was established by a decision of the National Assembly. If you think that YKM is an anti-government union you are deluded. It means you do not have the slightest notion about this state or YKM," he said.
Later, the YKM Chairman dwelt on the upcoming elections.
"I consider elections to be a serious achievement of independent Armenia. People should participate in elections willingly and heartily not to blame of criticize others in future," said the general.
During the meeting, Manvel Grigoryan also announced that YKM fully supports Serzh Sargsyan.
"If we are to die, we will die if he orders. But for YKM and its support, we would not have the Republican Party of Armenia. We are going to back initiatives of our commander-in-chief and our fellow fighter Serzh Sargsyan in foreign and domestic policy. Believe my words!"
Speaking about the Karabakh conflict Manvel Grigoryan stressed that Armenia will not attack first unless Azerbaijan launches aggression.
"If Azerbaijan dares attack our statehood, Artsakh, we will resort to retaliatory measures," he said.
