S. Sargsyan: "We have difficult task and we shall accomplish it together"
A president is supposed to consider protocol nuances in his speeches, but I will act differently because my 25-year-long path with you allows me to say just "Hi, guys," Serzh Sargsyan said addressing the 9th congress of the Yerkrapah Volunteer Union (YKM).
"The Yerkrapah Volunteer Union has always had its public and political weight in our society. There have been controversial assessments of Yerkrapah activities because the need to face peaceful life and new realities after a war is a universal problem linked to both psychological and social issues. A person returning from a war has been having serious problems in all times related to the accommodation to a peaceful life, problems related to finding a place and role in the new milieu. These problems are psychological, as well as public and social. Looking back at those years we can say that the YKM has successfully solved the problem," said Sargsyan,
"The processes underway in Armenia have positively changed the country's reputation, providing it with characteristics that befit a country of the 21st century civilization. This is an imperative of the time and there is no other way for Armenia to develop. It's a difficult task, but we will accomplish it. We will do it together and we will succeed.
Armenia is entering a new stage of development. We are building a new country, a new society and a new citizen. Discipline and freedom, public order and democracy, they are correlated. The citizen of Armenia will be as free as law-abiding," he said.
Further Mr. Sargsyan said that Armenia is a country that of victorious people and cannot be backward or poor. In a country that triumphed a war no one's rights can be breached or violated.
