Russia to apply nuclear weapon?
Russia might apply a nuclear weapon, if the country's territorial integrity is at risk.
This is what head of the major headquarters Nikolay Makarov announced during an interview with "Ekho Moskvi".
According to Makarov, the type of weapon and the conditions are stated in the military doctrine of the Russian Federation. At the same time, Makarov underlines that nobody is preparing to fight against NATO.
As far as nuclear force is concerned, that is the ground for military stability, said Makarov and added that that is why Russia is not seriously involved in the modernization of nuclear weapons.
