Deputy FM Shavarsh Kocharyan visits Iran
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan had a meeting with Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran's deputy foreign minister for Asia-Pacific and the Commonwealth.
The two officials emphasized the need to hold consultations between the Foreign Ministries of both countries, and expansion of the legal framework.
The interlocutors the deepening ties between the two countries and discussed the process of implementation of joint economic programs. They noted that the fulfillment of the arrangements and implementation of the programs would give a fresh impetus to the bilateral cooperation.
Later on the day, Mr Kocharyan met with Iran's Foreign Minsiet Ali Akbar Salehi. The Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. Minister Salehi noted that his country attaches great importance to the development of relations with neighborly and friendly Armenia and asked to convey his warm greetings to his Armenian counterpart.
