One of the three inhumane realities
Support A1+!Chairman of the RA National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan awarded First Chairman of the National Council of Slovakia Frantishek Mikloshko the Medal of Honor of the National Assembly.
In his speech, Nikoyan recalled that the National Council of the Republic of Slovakia passed a resolution on recognition of the Armenian Genocide perpetrated in Ottoman Turkey in 1915 on 30 November 2004 and proved that the annihilation of an entire nation and the deprivation of lands have no expiration date, and that justice wins.
Expressing gratitude to Samvel Nikoyan for the high award, Frantishek Mikloshko expressed his warm sympathy for the Armenian people which, being the first nation to adopt Christianity as a state religion, have the right to take pride in their history and cultural heritage.
Mikloshko said it was a miracle that the Armenian people continue to shape their independence after being subject to genocide in the Ottoman Empire, and that is how Slovakia views it as well. He is certain that the European community has to review the pages of history of the 20th century. According to him, there were three inhuman realities in in the past century, including the Armenian Genocide perpetrated in Ottoman Turkey, the dictatorship of the Communists and the establishment of Fascism in Germany. According to the Slovak political figure, Europe has to realize that the precedent of all this was the Armenian Genocide.
Mikloshko says Europe also has to adopt a proper position on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution since the people living in Nagorno-Karabakh are committed to stand up for their country, their history, as well as Christian and democratic values, reports the press service of the National Assembly.
