Incumbent headman of Khashtarak village in Tavush marz received most of the votes during the local elections on Sunday. Republican Hayk Kamalyan was re-elected beating his rivals Artur Vanesyan [Republican Party of Armenia - HHK] and Andranik Virabyan [Prosperous Armenia Party - BHK].

No complaints have been lodged to dispute the results of the vote. However, it is surprising that 109 voters cast ballots with the help of other people. In particular, elderly people allegedly came up to the members of the election commission and asked them for help, saying ‘they could not see well.'
After the secretary registered the passport data of the ‘helping' person the elderly people were accompanied to the booths.
about 1070 people attended the polls.
