A1+ to appeal to ECtHR
Within twenty days, A1+ TV Company will appeal to the Court of Cassation to dispute the decision of the Administrative Court of Appeals which upheld the December 16 decision of the National Commission on Television and Radio (NCTR) whereby the embattled TV Company was rejected a broadcasting license.
In its decision, the Court of Appeals cites the same reasons given by the first instance court. Even the words and sentences are repeated," said Alexander Sahakyan, a lawyer for A1+.
He says the Administrative Court of Appeals failed to consider a number of circumstances and details raised in the company's appeal.
Mr Sahakyan says A1+, which has been struggling for its rights since 2002, will be unable to find justice in Armenian courts and will be forced to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
