Karapetyan ready to commit suicide
Leader of the People's party Tigran Karapetyan decided to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections through the majoritarian electoral order during a press conference today.
"Our party will participate in the elections. We will be based in the Artashat city of Ararat province and will garner votes from each sector of society. We don't want to collaborate with any political party because we want to be a just political party. If the elections were fair, the Republican Party wouldn't even garner 5 percent of the votes," mentioned the leader of the People's Party.
His opponent, Republican Deputy Sukias Avetisyan assured him that "the Republican Party would present all that it had done and would form the majority in the next National Assembly".
"You have been saying your party is the best for the past 15 years," said Karapetyan.
Karapetyan also ruled out the views on seeing him among the Republicans. According to Karapetyan, the Republican has already given its "OKs" to members on the electoral list.
"If I had a chance to be included in the list of that party, I would simply commit suicide. You are phony," Tigran Karapetyan told his opponent.
Tigran Karapetyan also discussed the participation of other political parties in the upcoming parliamentary elections and declared that there was an agreement between the Armenian National Congress and the Republican Party of Armenia.
"The ANC is keeping silent. If the ANC didn't agree, the ANC would demand snap elections," said Tigran Karapetyan in closing.
