Today's session of the National Assembly began with a debate between Chairman of the National Assembly Samvel Nikoyan and Prosperous Armenia Party Deputy Naira Zohrabyan.

Zohrabyan declared that Samvel Nikoyan yesterday had arbitrarily deprived the PAP faction of the right to express an opinion on the bill "On Restrictions of Cash Functions".

"Republican deputies made incorrect statements regarding the PAP. We have expressed our clear position and have voted in accordance with our convictions. As far as the pompous statements about the fight against corruption are concerned, almost five years after the law was put into circulation, it is clear to all of us that this bill has nothing to do with the fight against corruption and the real goal is to ensure additional income for the banks that are already in a great situation at the price of citizens of Armenia," declared Naira Zohrabyan, adding that the PAP is against and will be against all attempts aimed at extort additional sums from citizens in heavy social conditions.

Naira Zohrabyan also mentioned that the PAP wouldn't participate in the sessions and left the hall, taking into account the destructive atmosphere at the National Assembly.

The National Assembly declared a 20-minute break during which Zohrabyan told journalists that the PAP hadn't tried to give a political subtext to their steps and advised not to view the PAP's position as a step against the coalition.

Despite all that, the NA continued its session and put a vote on the bills, particularly the amendments to the law "On Estimation of Time in the Republic of Armenia".
