A heated election struggle is expected in the village of Arshaluys [Armavir marz] which is the birthplace of General Manvel Grigoryan.
One of the candidates, Grigor Grigoryan is a protégé of Manvel Grigoryan and not his kinsman.
Grigor Grigoryan was the sole candidate for the village mayor until he entered into a conflict with the brothers and nephews of Manvel Grigoryan.
Two candidates have been nominated for the post - former village mayor Grigor Grigoryan and the incumbent mayor Zarzand Grigoryan, a protégé of MP Hrant Grigoryan and a relative of General Manvel Grigoryan.
