More drug addicts
Based on statistics, there were 2,751 drug addicts in Armenia in 2011. In 2010, 257 received treatment, and only 359 received treatment in 2011.
"The data don't reflect the real image," mentioned the Head of the Psychological Health Center in Gyumri.
Currently, the center has 2,150 citizens with psychological health problems, and there are less registered drug addicts. According to the psychological health center director Nadya Vardanyan, that is due to the fact that very few drug addicts wish to be registered and receive adequate treatment.
