Heritage ready to cooperate with everyone
The Heritage party will make an announcement on its participation in the May parliamentary elections on March 2, Heritage Leader Raffi Hovannisian said on Feb. 3.
"Before that, we shall hold inter-party discussions to decide on our participation," said Mr. Hovannisian.
The Heritage leader neither confirmed nor denied the allegations about his party's alliance with the Free Democrats party.
In reply to A1+ whether the two parties have ideological similarities, Mr. Hovannisian said ‘Free Democrats are caring citizens who have a political past.'
"We hold the same viewpoints in connection with the parliamentary system of government and transition to a 100 % proportional voting," he stressed.
At the same time, the Heritage leader said his party is ready to form an alliance with any political force, including opposition parties, extra-parliamentary forces coalition parties.
Raffi Hovannisian is not against the majoritarian system, but he thinks Armenia will need in 50 years.
During the February 12 mayoral elections in Hrazdan, the Heritage will support opposition representative Sasun Mikayelyan.
