ARF-D will wield power, while remaining in opposition

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation -Dashnaktsutyun is going to name candidates in single-mandate constituencies in the 2012 parliamentary elections.

Talking to journalists in Yerevan, head of the ARF-D parliamentary faction Vahan Hovhannisyan did not rule out that his party might also support the candidates of other opposition forces.

According to the ARF-D representative, entering the National Assembly the party will try to change power. "This will be possible if the parliamentary opposition is able to influence on the decisions of the legislative body."

In order to gain a majority in the National Assembly, we are ready to enter into a coalition with other opposition forces.

"Those who do not go to the polls vote for authorities," said Mr. Hovhannisyan.
