Mayor responds to residents
By the assignment of Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, Chief Architect of Yerevan Narek Sargsyan had a meeting with residents of building #106/1 Nalbandyan Street on February 1.
The meeting was attended by Deputy of the RA National Assembly Anahit Bakhchyan, the residents' attorney, the head of the company making an investment in the construction of the building, the head of the department for nature protection of the municipality and other officials.
The Department of Information and Public Relations of Yerevan Municipality informs that Narek Sargsyan mentioned that 9,000 square meters of the area in question is on sale and that the construction is in the interests of the residents and their children. He added that the housing fund would be destroyed and that people "would receive normal apartments and playgrounds."
However, the residents disbelieved Narek Sargsyan's pledges. "They specified many things last time and it was assumed that things would move forward this time, but we went back. Next time, another person will come and say something else. We can't forget about the people living in distant areas," said MP Anahit Bakhshyan.
