Although the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) approves of a 100-percent proportional representation system, it is going to nominate candidates in all the 41 single-mandate constituencies.

"Unless the proposal is enacted into law, we must also fight in single-mandate constituencies as well. We are going to nominate one candidate in each constituency," ANC Coordinator Levon Zurabyan told A1+.
Today the opposition bloc convened a sitting to discuss the issue of its candidates.

According to the reports, the ANC majoritarian list will be led by Armenia's First President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, followed by Chairman of the People's Party of Armenia Stepan Demirtchyan. However, the ANC Coordinator did not confirm the information, saying ‘the alliance has not made any definite decision yet.'

Speaking about the upcoming mayoral elections in the city of Hrazdan, Levon Zurabyan said ‘despite the authorities' ongoing pressures, ANC candidate Sasun Mikayelyan's team is working hard to ensure his victory in the elections."
