On January 31, Armenian National Congress Central Office Coordinator Levon Zurabyan had a meeting with Deputy Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Department for Elections Nikola Schmidt and Elections Advisor Raul Lucian Mureshan.

The guests informed that the purpose of their visit was to give a report to the OSCE administration regarding the need and appropriateness of an OSCE/ODIHR observatory mission ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia. After the corresponding invitation from the official Yerevan, the OSCE/ODIHR will take a decision on the formation and timeframe of the observatory mission.

The interlocutors touched upon the activities of the observatory mission in ensuring the legitimacy of the elections. Praising the professional readiness of the OSCE/ODIHR observers, Zurabyan affirmed the Armenian National Congress's desire to see as many observers as possible during the elections. He also presented the Congress's platform for reforms in the electoral process.

Among the participants of the meeting were representatives of the Armenian National Congress Central Office Avetis Avagyan and Vladimir Karapetyan, reports the ANC press service.
