“Heritage” meets ODIHR experts
Leader of the "Heritage" faction Styopa Safaryan, MPs Armen Martirosyan, Anahit Bakhshyan, secretary of the party's board Karine Hakobyan and speaker Hovsep Khurshudyan received Deputy Head of the OSCE/ODIHR Department for Elections Nikola Schmidt and ODIHR Advisor for Elections Raul Mureshan at the National Assembly.
Schmidt and Mureshan are in Armenia to meet with political parties and to prepare a report on the organizing of elections, sending an observatory mission and applying the Electoral Code accepted last year. At the guests' request, members of "Heritage" presented the issues related to the formation of electoral commissions, the licensing of members of electoral commissions at the polling stations, the registration of candidates, the funding for political parties, the joint legislative proposal made by "Heritage" and the ARF-D on making the transition to the 100-percent proportional electoral order, as well as the separation of political parties and administrative resources.
