Voters’ lists to change election outcome?
According to President of the Center of Globalization and Regional Cooperation Stepan Grigoryan, surveys and people's mood will change a lot after political parties reveal the content off their voters' lists.
"Those lists can lead to unexpected changes in people's moods since Armenians accept attaching great importance to individuals. I am certain that many things will change when the final lists are released," said Grigoryan.
Based on the results of the survey released by "My Opinion" civil initiative, if the parliamentary elections were held next week, the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) would be the favorite (37%), followed by the Armenian National Congress (ANC), the ARF-D and the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA).
Touching upon these surveys, he mentioned that if elections were held today, PAP would be in first place.
"My contacts, analyses and all that I see proves that PAP will garner the most votes. I can't say anything about the other parties since it is difficult to express a clear-cut opinion on that. Only after such surveys will it be clear. I think PAP managed to reveal the most important issues that concern the society, and if elections were held today, PAP would be able to garner the most votes. It is evident that the RPA, the ANC, Dashnaktsutyun and "Heritage" Party also have chances of winning, but it is hard to say in which sequence they will be."
