Parliament Speaker still has time to answer letter
Armenian Parliament Speaker Samvel Nikoyan has not answered the written proposal of the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun, Heritage and Prosperous Armenia party who suggest switching to full proportional electoral system.
According to the parliament regulations, Samvel Nikoyan is to answer the letter within ten working days.
Talking to A1+, head of the Heritage faction Styopa Safaryan said his party is ready to speak in favour of 100-percent proportional representation during the hearings.
"Recently, active public discussions have been held on the issue. Our opponent - the Republican Party of Armenia - has not presente serious arguments to substantiate its viewpoint. They only say that it is no time to discuss the issue," said Mr. Safaryan.
