"Army became tool for authorities"
Any encroachment upon Armenian army is condemnable, commander of the Shushi battalion Jirair Sefilian said, considering it extremely dangerous for a country which is in a military situation.
"At the same time I do not approve of the efforts of army officials and the country's administration who are doing everything to conceal criminal phenomena ins the ranks," he said.
Jirair Sefilian, who strongly believed that the army would guard the country, now says the army has become a tool in the hands of the authorities.
"It is necessary to be most careful"
Regardless of army problems, deputy director of Literature Institute Vardan Devrikyan advises being most careful when writing anything about the armed forces.
Each sentence and each line written about our army should be analyzed and well-reasoned," he said.
ARF-Dashnaktsutyun member Aghvan Vardanyan does not agree with the opinion that army is the mirror of the society.
"Army lives by its own rules. It is a different structure with its unique discipline and cannot reflect the events occurring in the society," he said.
