Terrorist attempt in Baku
Two citizens of Azerbaijan suspected of preparing for an assassination attempt against Israeli Ambassador Mikhael Lotem have been arrested in Baku. Another Iran-based Azerbaijani has been arrested under the same charge as well.
Police found a large amount of weapons and ammunition that the suspects had transferred from Iran.
The terrorists had been promised 150,000 dollars for fulfilling the order.
The Ministry of National Security of Azerbaijan reports that the terrorists were in contact with Iran's special services and had been instructed to create terrorist groupings in Azerbaijan, reports the Aksakal Russian news website.
