Artur Baghdasaryan receives Valentin Soboleyev
Secretary of the National Security Council Artur Baghdasaryan today received the delegation led by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Valentin Soboleyev.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a broad range of issues included in the 2012-2013 cooperation plan signed by the security councils of the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation late last year.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the implementation of measures provided for in the border security cooperation plan, including the modernization and rearmament of border checkpoints, as well as issues related to the creation of a joint training and instruction center for border guards. The sides also discussed the implementation of joint projects in the sphere of emergency situations, other issues related to cooperation in the military-industry sphere, as well as the initiative of establishing CSTO information centers.
Valentin Soboleyev underlined the high level of cooperation between the security councils of both countries and expressed confidence that all measures would be realized according to the itinerary foreseen in the cooperation plan, reports the press service of the National Security Council.
