The Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) will win most seats in the parliamentary vote, the party's vice-chairman Galust Sahakyan told journalists on January 25, 2012.

"People must believe in their fate," he said without answering the question whether he considers the HHK to be the future of the Armenian people.

The HHK vice-chairman said his party had not yet decided its majoritarian list.

"I shall be included in the party ticket irrespective of your desire," he told journalists.

Mr. Sahakyan considers the debate over the electoral system to be closed and announces that the HHK has serious candidates to nominate at the 41 polling stations.
"Active people, including businesspeople, will be put on the ticket," he said.

In some constituencies, the party is likely to support the candidate of other political forces.

The HHK is going to convene a congress in mid-March. Mr. Sahakyan expects serious political intrigues during the election campaign.

"Any political force can run in the election by the majoritarian system and the HHK is not going to hinder anyone," he concluded.
