Why Belarus and not Azerbaijan?
The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) discussed at its January 25 sitting the situation in Belarus. Naira Zohrabyan, a member of the Armenian delegation to the PACE, made a speech on the issue.
"Hearing the author of the report and the speakers who called the presentees' attention to the situation in Belarus in terms of political liberties, freedom of press, the right to hold marches and demonstrations, I wanted to ask them whether the Assembly has ever initiated a similar heated debate in connection with situation in Azerbaijan," she said.
