They feign that the Nagorno Karabakh Republic does not exist at all, Head of the Heritage parliamentary group Stepan Safaryan said when commenting on the Sochi-hosted meeting of Armenian, Russian and Azerbaijani leaders.

He finds it unacceptable that Serge Sargsyan is conducting negotiations instead of the NKR. "This is a conspiracy against the NKR, I cannot call it otherwise," he said.
According to the head of the Heritage faction, earlier Karabakh's involvement was possible in the talks brokered by the Russian Federation.

Regarding Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's statement that ‘the sides should avoid maximalist demands,' Mr. Safaryan said, "This is a paraphrase of the notorious thesis that there can not be winners or losers in the conflict, i.e., Armenia should make unilateral concessions in terms of its status or territories. This is what minimalism applies."

Asked whether the trilateral presidential meeting proved productive, the Heritage representative said it was another attempt to sear public conscience and divert their attention from the negotiations.

"Armenian leadership is not only incapable to solve this complicated issue, but also has to stall for time, agreeing to any proposal and presenting it as an attempt to preserve Karabakh's status quo," he concluded.
