Meets Iranian Ambassador
Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia Seyed Ali Saghaiyan.
Attaching importance to the current level of the Armenian-Iranian relations and the bilateral partnership, Mayor Taron Margaryan mentioned that the local self-government bodies of both countries have a long experience in collaboration that should be expanded and strengthened through projects. The mayor particularly underlined the experience of cooperation in greenery and voiced hope that the cooperation would continue in that sphere this year.
Ambassador Seyed Ali Saghaiyan attached importance to the existing potential and opportunities for the development of tourism, proposed to discuss concrete plans for partnership and expressed willingness to support and assist in the development of bilateral ties.
The parties reached an agreement on establishing a joint task force and discussing issues related to further cooperation, reports the Department of Information and Public Relations of Yerevan Municipality.
