Correspondent of the ARF-D Bureau for the Armenian Cause and Political Affairs Kiro Manoyan doesn't exclude that the French Senate's vote is linked to the French President's interests ahead of the elections.

Kiro Manoyan doesn't believe the law criminalizing Armenian Genocide denial will have an impact on the future of the Turkey-Armenia Protocols.

"Let's wait and see when Turkey will have a government that will be ready to establish relations with Armenia without preconditions," said Manoyan.

The ARF-D representative doesn't believe Turkey will cut off all ties with France. According to him, Turkey doesn't have many economic levers with France.

"Turkey has economic interests with France in those trade relations and it isn't easy to substitute those interests."

Kiro Manoyan is content with the Armenian government's position for claims, even though he thinks it is a spur-of-the-moment.

"The Armenian authorities signed the Turkey-Armenia Protocols and continue to maintain their signature on the Protocols," said Manoyan.
