To establish social housing fund
The Armenian government has allowed the Department for State Property Administration adjunct to the RA Government to donate a certain area of the hostel buildings located at 70/1 Moldovakan Street in Yerevan and in Abovyan to the six families living there with the right to property.
Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan has assigned to keep the society informed that the government will form and own a social housing fund according to the new concept established in 2011.
"That housing fund will no longer be subject to privatization. The decisions that we take are due to the fact that we had a strategy for providing homes for refugees, as well as socially disadvantaged families living in the hostels. We will end the process, but the new social housing fund will never be subject to privatization," the Prime Minister emphasized.
