Armenian Parliament hosts consultations
Speaker of Armenian Parliament Samvel Nikoyan today convened a meeting with the heads of parliament delegations accredited in international structures.
Present at the meeting were Speaker of Artsakh Parliament Ashot Ghulyan, Head of the RA President's Staff Vigen Sargsyan, Vice Speaker of Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov and Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan.
Samvel Nikoyan stressed that parliamentary diplomacy is an important component of the country's foreign policy and the consultation aims to discuss the problems, projects and work carried out by parliament delegates in international structures, exchange information, ideas and views in order to make the work of parliamentarians more effective.
According to Mr. Nikoyan, Artsakh parliament speaker's presence at the consultation testifies that Artsakh people participate in the discussion of any issue concerning their country's fate.
At the end of the meeting, the Armenian parliament speaker expressed hope to continue such meetings.
