Sharmazanov advises his Georgian counterpart to apologize to Armenians
Vice-Speaker of Armenian Parliament Eduard Sharmazanov has responded to the statement of his Georgian counterpart Fridon Todua who announced in Baku that ‘Georgia and Azerbaijan will return their occupied territories.'
"I'd like to inform Todua that that no official in Armenia has ever made any inaccurate statement concerning the problems of a third country," said Mr. Sharmazanov.
"I would advise Fridon Todua to get acquainted with the historical tradition of his country. "Kartlis Tskhovreba" (Georgian Chronicles) clearly states who the indigenous inhabitants of this region are. Nothing is mentioned about Azerbaijanis in the work. Perhaps, Todua will apologize to his neighboring country after getting familiarized with historic facts," he concluded.
