Needy family waiting for a miracle
The Vzgoyan family has been celebrating the New Year in a half-built building located near Hanrapetakan Stadium for the past three years now. The head of the family, Razmik Vzgoyan, his two minors and other family members clean the stadium and barely make ends meet.
"I lost my passport and am currently registered in Sari Tagh. After the death of my parents, my sister and brother, I sold my house to pay for the funerals and the tombstones. Then, I appealed to the passport department where I was told that I had to pay a 15,000 dram fine, but I can't afford that much money," Razmik Vzgoyan told "A1+".
When night falls, father and son Vzgoyan start collecting waste metals from trashcans to hand in and receive money to purchase the necessities.
Sister and brother Vzgoyan study at a school. Ruzanna Vzgoyan dreams of becoming an actress, but the heavy blows in life have made her forget about that. She is an excellent student. Ruzanna mentions with pain that her mother left the family since she wasn't able to stand the misery, but she hasn't forgotten her.
"She comes and goes. My grandparents don't let us live together because they don't accept us," the girl said.
This family, which lacks electricity, the necessities and, most importantly people's attention, is still optimistic and hopes that it will have the chance to live the good life in the New Year.
