Ship drowns like the Titanic
The left side of the European Costa Conkordia yacht cracked and is going down at a rapid pace after hitting rocks under the sea.
Three quarters of the yacht is underwater.
The 450-million Euro yacht is drowning near the coasts of Jilio Island located not far from Toscana, Italy.
Associated Press reports that there were 3,200 passengers and 1,032 workers on board. Eight passengers have died.
The same source reports that most of the passengers are Italians, Frenchmen, Germans and Russians. The Russians complained about the indifference of the staff and security officers during interviews with mass media outlets. "They weren't telling us what to do and how to save ourselves," the Russian tourists complained.
The fate of 200 passengers "in captivity" remains unknown.
