The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) co-rapporteurs on Armenia closed the chapter of March 1, 2008 in the Council of Europe, says Alla Hovhannisyan, the mother of March 1 victim Tigran Khachatryan.

The relatives of the victims today handed a letter to the CoE Office in Yerevan, demanding a meeting with co-rapporteurs John Prescott and Axel Fischer who are due to arrive in Armenia on January 16.

"We were told at the CoE Office that it is still unknown whether a meeting with the victims' relatives is included on the visit agenda or not. We are concerned about it. If co-rapporteurs really want to disclose the ten murders, first of all they should meet us and not prosecutor Koryun Piloyan who does his utmost to conceal the murders and submits false reports," Mrs. Hovhannisyan told A1+.
The relatives are going to hold a protest outside the CoE Office if the co-rapporteurs do not receive them during the visit.

Alla Hovhannisyan reminded us that during their previous visit the co- rapporteurs did not meet the victims' relatives either. Moreover, following their visit they issued a report thereby considering the chapter of March 1 as closed.

"We have the impression that the co-rapporteurs want to listen to false reports of Armenian authorities, it is advantageous to them, that's why they avoid meeting us," said the desperate mother.

Sargis Kloyan, the father of March 1 victim Gor Kloyan, does not trust the co-rapporteurs either though he considers it his duty to meet them.

"We are going to meet them to remind about the ten victims. We want to tell them about our grief and pain," he said.
