OSCE observers’ report
"Even though the Russian parliamentary elections were technically good, they weren't competitive since the authorities mixed all possible resources in the electoral process," as stated in the OSCE observers' report.
They registered that the ruling party especially became entangled in the electoral process and used it for its benefit. "Evidence of that is the predetermined behavior of the electoral bodies and several mass media outlets, as well as the state officials' needless interventions in the process."
In the document it is also stated that the electoral process lacked quality when the count began. According to the observers, there were several violations.
The Central Electoral Commission of the Russian Federation don't agree with the OSCE observers' conclusion and have viewed it as politicized, reports the BBC.
