The Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaksutyun (ARF-D) will not go to the street if the 2012 parliamentary elections are rigged in Armenia, ARF-D member Armen Rustamyan told a press conference on Wednesday.

"You should first register election fraud, and then start a legal process. We have to prove in the Constitutional Court that the elections have been rigged and demand invalidating the results," he said.

"We should fight without getting disappointed at failures," he added.

Speaking about the joint statement of ARF-D and Heritage party, which proposed a transition to the proportional voting system, Armen Rustamyan said they simply want to abolish majoritarian system which allows most egregious violations.

"The changes will benefit the country's budget. We shall not have two systems, two ballots and two counts," he concluded.
