Police have restricted control in Moscow. They have lined up with shields and bludgeons at Sakharov Square where the rally will be held.

Interfax reports that police cars and buses are stationed starting from Turenevskaya Metro all the way to Sakharov Avenue, while the OMOH (OMON) squadrons are controlling the sidewalks.

There is no entrance to the avenue from "Sadovoye Koltso" and "Sretensky Bulvar".

The venue of the rally is surrounded by metal fences.

The organizers of the rally "For Fair Elections" expect to see a turnout of 100,000 people.

Rallies are scheduled in several other Russian cities as well, including St. Petersburg, Eakterinburg, Barnaul, Ulyanovsk, Ufa, Kaliningrad, Novosibirsk and Nizhni Novgorod.
