AAE thanks those who worked tirelessly
The Assembly of the Armenians of Europe salutes the approval by the French lower parliament of the draft law that makes of the denial of genocides a criminal act to be punished by the law.
"We express our thanks to all those persons who worked tirelessly for the approval of this draft law.
We consider this decisive step of the French lower parliament as a victory of justice that brings honor to France, a traditional champion of human rights.
We also consider the acceptance of the draft law as a serious step towards the restitution of the essential rights of the Armenian nation," the Assembly said in a statement.
